What is active rest?
Active rest is when you allow your body enough time to heal but still remain active. This is the best way to get rest and results. The way I have accomplished this is by doing cardio on rest days from weights or only doing certain body parts on certain days. This is the perfect way to recover and keep active enough to not fall behind. Another type of active rest is when you keep moving during your rest between sets during your workout. This keeps your heart rate up and can burn more calories.
